Woodlyn Classic Refractor

Woodlyn's Refractor incorporates several outstanding features. When refining refraction, Woodlyn offers the option to either rotate the "better-one better-two" refinement knob, or rotate the low sphere disc. Also featured is a unique Child Guard which prevents children from inadvertently turning the dials while at the same time serves as a hand rest for the doctor. In addition, the refractor features feather-touch control, a time saving automatically synchronized cross cylinder axis, and anti-reflective coating on the lenses.

Specifications

Range of Measurement of Spherical Lenses:
Combination of two sphere power dials +16.75D to -19.00D in 0.25D steps by rotation of only the weak sphere dial or B1, B2 knob. Can also adjust sphere power in 3 diopter steps with the major sphere dial.

Range of Measurement of Cylinder Lenses:
0.00D to -6.00D with 0.25D steps. Available in plus or minus cylinder. A pair of 0.12D cylinders in accessory cells permits refinement to 1/8thD steps. A pair of 2.00D cylinders in accessory cells extends cylinder power range to 8.00D.

Cylinder Axis: 360 degrees (Doubles 0 to 180 degree scale) with 5 degree markings.

Cross Cylinders: The standard cross cylinder cells supplied are +/-0.25D (+/-37D and +/-0.50D cross cylinders are available as optional parts).

Rotary Prisms: Each rotary prism unit has a range of 20 with 1 scale graduation. Paired prisms give 40 in any base direction.

PD Adjustment Range: 48mm to 75mm with mm scale graduation.
